Server – Position Summary:
Our Mom’s Restaurant & Bar is hiring friendly, dependable Servers who can provide attentive hospitality, accurate service, and a positive guest experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
Schedule Availability:
Both part-time and full-time schedules are available. Applicants must be available to work days, nights, and weekends.
Compensation and Tips:
- The direct cash wage is $2.13 per hour plus tips.
- We do not use a broad tip-sharing pool.
- Servers retain their tips, with the only required tip-out going to the bartender.
- The bartender tip-out is calculated as a percentage of the Server’s alcohol sales.
- Tip earnings vary by shift and are not guaranteed. If direct wages plus tips do not equal the applicable minimum wage for the workweek, Our Mom’s will make up the difference.
Core Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly with a welcoming and professional attitude.
- Explain menu items, specials, and beverage options accurately.
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS.
- Monitor table progression and anticipate guest needs throughout the meal.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and verify order accuracy.
- Pre-bus tables and maintain a clean, organized section.
- Present checks and process payments accurately.
- Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
- Communicate clearly with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers.
- Follow responsible alcohol-service, food-safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
- Bring guest concerns to a manager promptly when assistance is needed.
What Were Looking For:
- Previous full-service restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to remain composed and attentive during high-volume service.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Availability to work days, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to learn the menu and accurately answer guest questions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays, and lift up to 30 pounds.
