Our Mom's Restaurant

Our Mom's Restaurant & Bar is hiring a dependable Dishwasher / Prep Cook to support a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This position combines dishwashing, cleaning, and basic food-preparation responsibilities.

Pay and Schedule

• $9.00–$12.00 per hour. This is a non-tipped position.

• Team members begin at the lower end of the range during the introductory training period. Advancement toward $12.00 per hour is based on demonstrated proficiency, food-prep accuracy, sanitation, reliability, urgency, and consistent performance.

• This position is listed as part-time, and full-time schedules may also be available.

• Applicants must be available to work days, nights, and weekends.

What You'll Do

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.

• Keep the dish area clean, dry, organized, and free of unsafe buildup or avoidable pileups.

• Complete assigned food-preparation tasks according to recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures.

• Wash, cut, portion, label, date, and store ingredients as assigned.

• Maintain clean floors, drains, trash areas, prep surfaces, and kitchen workspaces.

• Remove trash, break down boxes, restock supplies, and support kitchen organization.

• Communicate clearly when supplies are low or when a sanitation or equipment concern needs attention.

• Follow all cleaning, chemical-handling, cross-contamination, and food-storage procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

• A sense of urgency and the ability to maintain quality during busy shifts.

• Attention to cleanliness, organization, recipes, and portion accuracy.

• The ability to stand for extended periods, work around heat and moisture, and safely lift up to 50 pounds.

• Previous dishwashing, kitchen, or food-prep experience is helpful but not required; we will train the right person.

Pay progression is earned by consistently meeting role milestones, including dish-area control, sanitation standards, prep accuracy, recipe and portion consistency, safe food handling, dependable attendance, speed, and teamwork.
